Up until the day my car was sold, I was quite resigned to selling it at a big loss to dealers which only drove my blood pressure up. That's not something I wanted at all...until I chanced upon Carmatch and met CK.

I sold my car thru CarMatch recently. It was a wonderful experience working with the folks.

CarMatch transaction model made it beneficial to both the buyer & seller. It strikes a median price level for the buyer/seller. Prior to contacting them, I made enquiries with a few other resale dealers which quoted me prices that were way below market rates (taking into consideration that they have to spend additional costs to touch up & re-market the used car). That made it difficult for me to consider getting a replacement car for the final cash rebate. Out of my last 4 car sale experiences, CarMatch definitely comes up top in terms of value, service & integrity. I would personally recommend them and be willing to chat with anyone who wants to find out more about their services.

Previously, I had always been skeptical when it came to dealing with car dealers/agents. There are just too many stories of them trying to shortchange sellers with inflated expectations and hidden costs. When I heard that CarMatch would charge me absolutely nothing to sell my car, I absolutely freaked out!

Nevertheless, I had a discussion with the guys and was pleasantly surprised to find them honestly reassuring. I even went to the extent of asking about their business model and how they survived economically without payment from us sellers.

On 23rd December 2010, I sold my car through CarMatch and received every penny that I was promised. I got in full, every cent that the buyer paid for my car! There was absolutely no money outlay to CarMatch. (Although I am thinking of buying the guys dinner.)

CarMatch was also excellent in managing my expectations as a seller; showing me comparable transacted prices and suggesting reasonable valuations that would not shun away the buyers. I believe as important as it is to get a good return on your sale, it is equally crucial that asking prices are seen as equitable in our transparent market. It is oft so easy to set a sky-high price as we all feel that our own automobiles are in the best of conditions. (Btw, I still think my ex-car was awesome!)

Thumbs up for the amazing service as well! Many times, they accommodated to my erratic work schedules and even stayed late into the night just to meet me up for discussions. In addition, they were patient to answer my many questions and made me feel important as a customer. I had ample time to evaluate my course of actions as they did not employ any pressure tactics; something which I appreciate a lot. It was sometime after Chinese New Year when I got an offer to work up North. The package was good and I accepted it after my meeting in Ta1wan.

The only thing was that I need to fly up almost immediately which gave me less than a week to settle all my loose ends in Singapore, one of which is the disposal of my car.
